How to Install .Net Framework on Server 2008 or Server 2012

How Do I Install .Net Framework for 2008 and 2012 Servers?

This guide will walk you through the installation of the .NET Framework on Server 2008 or 2012.

 

Note: Don’t get frustrated trying to install .Net framework 3.5 on Windows Server 2008 or 2012. It’s actually easy… It’s just not easy to locate where to do it.  

 

  1. Open the Server Manager
  2. Select Features
  3. Select Add Features

  1. Click to put a checkmark next to .Net Framework 3.5 
  2. Click Next and wait for it to install (It will also install .Net 2.0 and previous versions to prevent compatibility issues)

Let installation run and once it’s finished, that’s it.
